This wall lantern features an anthracite finish to give a rustic appearance and a classic lantern design. Pair this light with a vintage style filament light bulb for warm, welcoming glow and a decorative edge to your outdoor lighting.

Our Stylist Says

The outdoor fisherman style lantern is a smart addition to garden schemes that favour traditional or industrial aesthetics, thanks to its rugged anthracite finish and clear glass shade. I love how versatile it is, working well with both classic stone or brick exteriors and more contemporary settings that favour bold, minimalist features. For styling, I recommend pairing it with similar aged metals or natural materials like timber for a cohesive look. It’s particularly effective flanking a front door or illuminating a pathway, adding a warm, welcoming glow while maintaining a practical edge suitable for outdoor use. Just remember to keep the surrounding styling simple - this lantern’s charm is in its straightforward, robust appeal.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
