Description

Obaby's Stamford furniture range offers families the perfect combination of style, quality and practicality. Stylish storage solution which is ideal for keeping things close to hand, but safely out of reach. Its two-shelf construction offers plenty of space for your little one's precious keepsakes, with the top shelf featuring a front lip for belongings extra safe. 5 wooden hanging pegs beneath the shelf provide extra hanging space for regularly used items. For this item, our supplier can deliver to your doorstep, but the drivers cannot enter your property. If you live in a flat, the delivery driver will be able to bring the boxes to the main entrance of the building, but they will not be able to take them up to the door of your flat. Therefore, we recommend having someone with you who can take in the boxes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this baby shelf for its charming yet functional design, making it a versatile addition to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary or coastal nurseries with its clean white finish, but can also complement Scandi or vintage styles when paired with soft pastel accents or natural textures. Practical styling tips include using the pegs for hanging small accessories or clothes, while the shelf is perfect for displaying favourite books, decorative toys, or small plants to add greenery. Keep clutter minimal for a streamlined look, and consider layering items of different heights and textures to create visual interest without overcrowding.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
