Description
The Nomad rug collection was created in collaboration with Belgian company Ashtari Carpets. Each 100% wool kilim rug is hand-woven on a traditional loom. The yarn is carefully selected to guarantee an optimal texture. The natural oil content of sheep's wool makes kilim incredibly warm, durable as well as very resistant to dirt and moisture. Each rug is handcrafted in Pakistan by experienced artisans with knowledge dating back over 150 years. These rugs bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship from the past and a transition to the future with timeless colours and patterns. Locally sourced wool brings surprising nuances and colour variations to the rugs. These irregularities come from the natural wool pigment which wraps beautifully around the yarn. Nomad rugs are imperfectly perfect: each is unique and unpredictable. With their authentic design, they connect places and people, thus creating a space for conviviality.
