Description

The Murray Cylinder Outdoor Wall Light is a great addition to your home's exterior lighting set up. Featuring an innovative photocell design, it can detect the outdoor daylight levels and adjust its brightness accordingly. This wall light is also finished in a sleek black colour and features a minimalist cylinder design for a modern appearance to the outside of your home.

Our Stylist Says

The Murray Up and Down outdoor light is a sleek and functional choice for modern exteriors. Its cylindrical design and black finish make it versatile, seamlessly fitting into contemporary or minimalist façades. I love how the up and down lighting setup creates a subtle yet effective glow, enhancing the architectural features without overwhelming the space. It works well alongside clean-lined doors, patios, or garden walls. For styling, consider pairing it with other black or metallic accessories for a cohesive look, and install it at eye level or slightly higher for optimal illumination and visual interest. Its photocell feature also ensures energy efficiency, making it a smart choice for those who want practical yet stylish outdoor lighting.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
