Description

Suitable for use in all outdoor weather conditions, this innovative Murray Outdoor Cylinder Wall Light has an IP44 rating, meaning it is sufficiently water resistant against rain. This light offers a photocell feature which is able to accordingly adjust the brightness of the lamp to suit the natural daylight levels outside when it gets darker at night. It also has a sleek black finish and a compact cylindrical design which takes up minimal space and gives a seamless, simplistic look against your walls, perfect for modern homes.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this outdoor wall light because of its sleek, modern design and functional features. The black finish makes it versatile, working well with contemporary or minimalist exteriors, but it can also add a lovely contrast to more traditional facades. The photocell means it automatically turns on at dusk, adding convenience and energy efficiency-ideal for both practical and aesthetic outdoor lighting. For styling, consider placing it near a front door or along a pathway for maximum impact, while pairing it with other exterior fixtures for a cohesive look. Its understated yet contemporary silhouette allows it to seamlessly blend into various outdoor spaces without overpowering the architecture.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
