Description

Product Information Oliver II has a classic silhouette when it comes to contemporary styling with a straight-edged frame and to-the-ground seat. Comfort ratingStriking a balance between support and comfort, this range has a medium comfort rating. With a structured design to help retain shape, these sofa cushions retain more of their shape when sat on and require less plumping. Worth knowing… As leather is a natural product, there are natural characteristics on each leather hide used to make our sofas. These could be things like brand marks, insect bites or wrinkles. A large sofa could be made with as many as four hides so there may also be some slight colour variation, however, we have strict guidelines to make sure any noticeable marks aren't in a prominent place. These distinctive qualities also mean that no two pieces of leather furniture will be exactly the same. Moulds to the body, snaps back to shapeThis sofa bed has a foam mattress. The foam acts like springs, moulding to the body for a supported sleep, but returning to the mattress's original shape when not in use. Unfolds from comfy sofa to occasional bedUsing a 3-fold mechanism this opens up from sofa to bed. With its comfortable compact mattress and sprung polypropylene sheet base it's a perfect choice if you're looking for an occasional bed. Owing to variations in computer screen resolution and settings, the fabric you receive may look slightly different to how it appears here. Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Oliver sofa bed for its neat silhouette and quality leather - it feels grown-up without overpowering a room. Its dark legs and neutral upholstery slot straight into modern, Scandi or even industrial-inspired schemes, and the pull-out bed mechanism makes it perfect for a spare-room or a small-flat lounge where you still want to welcome overnight guests. To style it, layer in cushions of different shapes and textures (think boucle or wool) in deeper tones like navy or forest green, then drape a chunky knit throw over one arm for a relaxed look. Anchor the area with a low-profile coffee table and a sisal or jute rug to add warmth, and flank the sofa with matching side tables or slimline floor lamps to keep the feel crisp and uncluttered.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
