Description

We’ve made the headboard a defining design element of the Fluted bed frame, adding extra padding to give the bed an elegant, curved side profile and giving even more depth to the flutes. Finished with a tapered dark stain leg to ensure the bed looks just as good in both traditional and contemporary rooms. Made from high-quality timbers. Its sprung slats provide a more supportive foundation for your mattress. Assembly service Our assembly service is included in the selling price for our Made to Order beds. At the same time as delivery, we'll build your new bed and place it in your room of choice. We'll take away all of the packaging too, for recycling. Built with Smart SlatsThis bed frame is designed with wider slats at the shoulders, lumbar and feet. They provide maximum support for you and your mattress so that you experience perfect spinal alignment while you sleep. The standard slat caps are black so we have added grey slat caps to ensure that you know where to place the wider slats. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Cotton Effect has a laid-back and fine-textured look that looks like cotton, but it's made from durable polyester fibres Our Band A fabric, Brushed Tweed is made with a brushed herringbone weave that has a cosy wool look and soft 'peach skin' feel. It's really hard-wearing and a brilliant all-rounder Our Band A fabric, Soft Weave has a casual cotton look with a brushed finish that's soft-to-touch and a subtle texture that's created by slight variations in the tones of the woven fibres Our Band B fabric, Soft Touch Chenille is made from a blend of fibres that give it a super-soft feel and added durability Our Band B fabric, Deep Velvet will bring warmth and luxury to your bedroom. It's a short pile velvet with a soft, plush feel Our Band B fabric, Relaxed Linen gives you the fine texture of cotton, the durability of synthetic fibres and the laid-back look of linen Our Band C fabric, Aquaclean Velvet will liven up your bedroom. It's plush, available in a range of bold colours and treated with Aquaclean so that it can be wiped clean with just water. A smart choice for families and those with pets Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture before ordering. Pop into one of our shops to see the full range of colours and fabrics on offer. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the fluted king-size bed for its clean lines and subtle ribbed headboard, which add texture without overpowering the room. The neutral upholstery works equally well in Scandi-inspired schemes or more traditional settings, and the raised wooden legs give it a light, airy feel. For styling, keep bedding in a simple palette - think crisp whites or soft greys - and layer in one patterned cushion or throw in a complementary shade. Position low bedside tables either side, add a slim table lamp for reading light, and place a natural-fibre rug underneath to ground the frame and soften the space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
