Part of our Natural Collection, our Swaledale 16000 mattresses are made with layers of fine natural fillings, including Swaledale wool, and an innovative pocket spring system. Our British Natural Collection range is handmade by Harrison Spinks in Yorkshire. Natural fillings provide deep comfort and have effective temperature-regulating properties. The innovative, high-density pocket springs provide pressure relief and targeted support. Plus, these mattresses have a completely glue-free design which makes them fully recyclable at end of life. Swaledale wool Swaledale sheep are generally found throughout the hillier regions of the UK, which makes their wool extra resilient and hard-wearing. In this mattress, it acts as a strong and dense fibre that's ideal for firmer-feeling mattresses. Natural fillings Manufactured in Yorkshire, it's upholstered with layers of locally-sourced natural fillings that provide comfort and wick away moisture from your mattress, keeping it fresh and hygienic. Cortec™ Quad pocket spring system This glue-free support system has been designed, developed and manufactured in-house. With an innovative spring-in-spring design, it offers a two-stage level of support that delivers lumbar support and pressure relief, especially to the heavier parts of your body. It will help to align your spine while you sleep to prevent unwanted aches and pains, and the springs work individually, so air can flow effectively through the mattress to prevent it from feeling hot. Glue-free design The patented Cortec™ Quad springs are sealed with heat rather than glue. Not only does this mean the springs can work individually for maximum efficiency, it also means each spring can be disassembled and reinvented in the future. So this mattress is 100% recyclable at the end of its life, rather than ending up in landfill sites across the country. We guarantee to recycle your mattress responsibly when you’re ready to buy your next one, after seven years. and we’ll help you to choose a new mattress and recycle this one. Make the most of your new mattress Leave your new mattress to air in a well-ventilated room for a few hours to diffuse any scents from its fillings Use a breathable mattress protector and air your mattress regularly This mattress complements a sprung bed base to enhance its luxury feel, but if you have a slatted base, ensure the gaps are no more than 7.5cm apart Follow the care instructions supplied Try before you buy This is an important purchase and it’s worth trying your new mattress in one of our shops to make sure it's right for you.
