Description

Product Information Specially designed for compact spaces, the Arlo range is a modern take on a mid-century design, featuring a buttoned back and striking frame. Design details Low maintenance, fixed seat cushions Fibre filled back cushions Designer's notesA cool and compact option for your living space, the Arlo range showcases a fuss-free design with a clean and shape silhouette with nods to classic, mid-entury design. Firm: Designed for those who prefer a firmer sit, this range has a firm comfort rating. Offering our highest degree of support thanks to high density foams, this rating offers strong resistance and also retains its shape well. As leather is a natural product, there are natural characteristics on each leather hide used to make our sofas. These could be things like brand marks, insect bites or wrinkles. A large sofa could be made with as many as four hides so there may also be some slight colour variation, however we have strict guidelines to make sure any noticeable marks aren't in a prominent place. These distinctive qualities also mean that no two pieces of leather furniture will be exactly the same. Leather Working Group (LWG) Certified LeatherOwing to variations in computer screen resolution and settings, the fabric you receive may look slightly different to how it appears here. Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Arlo leather chair because its clean lines and pale oak legs slot straight into Scandi, modern or even industrial schemes without overpowering the room. The lightly tufted back adds subtle detail, while the supple leather ages beautifully over time. Pair it with a contrasting wool throw and a textured cushion to soften the look, and balance it with a slimline side table or a minimal floor lamp. In a living area, angle two Arlos around a low coffee table for a relaxed conversation spot; in a study, let it stand alone as a sleek reading chair.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
