I’m fond of this slim fabric-drawer chest for its smart steel frame and soft grey bins - it’s perfect in a narrow hallway, bedroom or utility room within Scandi, minimalist or industrial schemes. The light-grey drawers add texture without overwhelming the space, and five compartments make it ideal for stashing scarves, socks or craft supplies. For styling, top it with a low-profile tray, a sculptural vase and a small lamp, then balance the look by flanking it with a pair of matching stools or a couple of leafy plants. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
