Description
English hedgerows come alive in Summer with the sharp contrast of vivid green against the inky richness of glossy berries. Bold stripes cross paths creating subtle colours and unexpected tones. By placing the stripes in only one section of the blanket, the negative space makes this a contemporary piece for your home. The Blackthorn blanket is woven in a beautiful valley on the Lancashire/ Yorkshire border in England, in one of the few working mills dating back to the 1700s. This collection is woven with 100% lambswool, spun locally. Utilizing regional weaving knowledge with a contemporary twist each soft lambswool throw is a cherished heirloom. Each design is blanket stitched with yarn surplus from the weaving process.
