Description

Ideal for older children's bedrooms the Whirly Ceiling Light is guaranteed to add a fun look to any room. This light features a flush design, meaning that it is ideal for low ceilings. It also comes in a sleek black colour with an abstract design, offering a more minimal look.

Our Stylist Says

I love this light for its modern, sculptural feel; it acts as both an illumination piece and a statement accessory. Its matte black finish makes it versatile, working particularly well in contemporary, industrial, or minimalist interiors. I recommend pairing it with neutral palettes or even coloured walls to let it stand out. For practical styling, ensure the ceiling height allows enough space for its looping design, and position it in living rooms or dining areas where its shape can be appreciated without overwhelming the space. It’s especially effective when combined with other understated fixtures, creating a cohesive and sleek look.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
