Description

Handcrafted and finished with an impactive glaze the Minerals vases from Denby have an artisanal look about them with speckles of colour joining the two halves of each piece together. Each vase can be displayed empty as an ornament, or as a vessel for showing off a favourite flower arrangement. It comes presented in a contemporary Denby gift box. Handthrown by Denby's Master potter in their iconic Derbyshire pottery using locally sourced clay, each piece of Denby stoneware is made using pottery techniques passed down through generations and can pass through as many as 20 pairs of hands. Every item of pottery is expertly glazed by skilled craftsmen and the distinctive glazes are renowned for their practicality, durability and chip resistance.

Our Stylist Says

The Denby Minerals Barrel Vase is a versatile piece that works beautifully in both contemporary and rustic interiors. Its understated colour palette and organic shape make it a subtle statement, perfect for adding texture and interest to lobbies, side tables, or mantelpieces. I love pairing it with fresh florals or minimalist greenery for a relaxed yet sophisticated look. For practical styling tips, consider grouping it with smaller vases or decorative objects to create a curated display, or use it on its own for a sleek, modern focal point. Its 18cm height makes it ideal for accentuating height without overpowering a space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
