In order to streamline the fulfilment process, we organise deliveries direct from suppliers to you. This ensures your order will arrive faster and minimise the risk of in-transit damage. As a result, our shipping fees are on a per-supplier basis. This means that if your order can be fulfilled by a single supplier we will only charge you a single delivery fee (which will be the highest individual unit delivery amount of the items ordered); if on the other hand your order can only be fulfilled by multiple suppliers we will charge you a delivery fee for each supplier. By way of illustration, if you order a small item that is fulfilled by one supplier and a large item that is fulfilled by another supplier, we will charge you £55.90 for delivery (being £5.95 + £49.95).
If at any point prior to confirmation you wish to cancel part or all of your order, please email orders@withflitch.com.

The origin of the Bestlite BL1 Table Lamp is rooted in the Bauhaus philosophy, an establishment which championed a rebellion against tradition and sought to bring simplicity to the forefront. British designer Robert Dudley Best drew the first sketches of the light that would be proclaimed as the first Bauhaus manifestation in England during 1930, while studying in Paris and Düsseldorf. Initially favoured by car mechanics on account of its adjustability, the swan-necked lamp soon entered the nation's consciousness when it was pictured on Winston Churchill's desk in his air-raid shelter beneath Whitehall during World War II. Robert Dudley Best is now recognised as one of the great British designers of the 20th century, while the Bestlite remains an elegant testimony to his work. First produced by the manufacturing firm Best & Lloyd, founded by Best's family in 1840, Danish design firm GUBI took over the production of this iconic light and continues to manufacture it to exacting standards to this day. Requires: 1 x Max 40W E14 bulb (not included).
